Ladies I am posting this on behalf of a new member who is not on Facebook or a member of the Association, but has been in the past. Her name is Muriel Baker nee Proffitt and joined the ATS on the 2 Mar 1945. She served in Germany as a driver and wonders if anyone remembers her name. Sorry I have no regimental number but she told me that she joined the same day as the queen. If you do know the name could you possible private message me. Thank you

Hello, I was at Guildford October-November 1975 then onto Deepcut. Posted first to HQ Southwest District (was Taunton at the time) then onto HQUKLF Wilton, Salisbury, then to Cyprus and onto to Detmold in Germany. I was Pam Broderick. Would love to trace Helen McDade from Scotland who was in Cyprus 79-82 or anyone from UKLF Wilton from 1977-1979. Also Jean Ness who was in the Pay Corps and was in Taunton same time as me. Pam Land [nee Broderick]

This is a very long shot. Trying to contact a Carol Smith (as was but may be married now) who was originally from Airedale, Castleford, West Yorkshire. She would be about 59 yrs old now. Julie went to Airedale Secondary School but then moved "up" to Airedale High School next door. All I know is that she joined the army, possibly about 1973 & went to Belgium or so we heard. There is to be a school reunion next spring & there are many of her old school mates would love to find her. I was Margaret Chapman then, married Martin Greenhow.
Ring any bells with any one? Please get in touch Carol or if you think you know her. Thanks.

The AGC Museum has received a request from a French citizen looking for information on a member of the ATS, who served with the Army Post Office in France during WWII. She left her steel helmet with a young boy; inside was her name Katie Powell. I have checked the ATS discharge records held in the museum archives and can find two possible leads: 84496 Pte K. Powell and 120534 Pte K.B. Powell. If any WRAC Association member could offer a lead on who this lady was could they contact the museum in Winchester.
