Hi I joined WRAC in January 1975, 2Coy, and after Guildford went to Sandown then 29 Coy where I worked in the computer dept. of the big house as a member of WRAC until October 1976 when I got married and then worked in the same dept. as a civvie until December 1977. My number was W/455052 and my maiden name was Smart. I married Jack Kelly, Signalman stationed at RAF Wildenrath 21 Sigs, in September 1976, so we are just coming up for our 40th wedding anniversary. It would be good fun to "speak" to anyone who was stationed at any of those placed at that time who can remember me or Jack. Take care Sandra (Smart) Kelly.

I would like to know more about my mother's time in the army. She said little about it. She was a Londoner from Hackney, but her mother was running a B and B in Scarborough in 1947 and she lived with her, (returning to London in 1949/50) although where she was stationed I'm not sure. My mother's name was Margaret Dicker. If anyone's mum, grandma, auntie or family friend have ever mentioned her, please let me know.

Leon Brunsdon, Saighton 72. aka Lenny. You showed me Tranmere and we enjoyed a good night out involving The British Legion and the Mersey Tunnel, but we were younger then.

In loving memory of Joyce Hobster who sadly passed away on 27/02/2016. She was a wonderful lady who served in Canal zone and Malay. We believe she was the first female Yeoman of Signals. Known to many as 'Ma' Hobster.
