Hi - I joined the WRAC and went to Guildford on 23 February 1976 to commence my basic training- I was in 1 platoon, 1 coy. My platoon Sgt was Irene Wass. After basic, I went to Aldershot where I did my catering training at St Omer barracks. I then returned to Guildford, where I was stationed for a couple of years, before moving on to Lulworth camp in Dorset.

Thanks to the internet , I have managed to track down a few old friends, but there are many I'd still like to find. I would be very grateful if anyone could give me information/contact details on the following people-:

Taff Watkins, Ginny Crocker, Sharon De Gayle, Murine Davis, Maggie McClean, Diane Pearson, Linda 'Doris' McCombe, Carol O'Neill & Nina 'Rocky' Paul?

Would also love to hear from anyone reading this that can remember me.

Hello. I was wondering whether anyone has any photos of the POP which took place - the old memory is not what it was - Jan 1st 1970 at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Guildford. It was bitterly cold and snow was on the ground so we had the parade inside. My parents attended but did not take any photos as they disapproved of my enrollment. I would just like a photo to show my husband and son. Thank you for your time and attention.

Can anyone help? In 1966 I met Ann Mason in Aldershot, she was stationed at Guilford, but then went on to Yeovil where I lost contact with her. I believe she came from Middlesbrough. I wonder what happened to her and did she have a happy and fulfilling life, I hope she did. I would be grateful for any news of her. Andy Andrews ex 1 PARA.

"Message for Di Faulkner". Hi, Carol here. E mail address nicholls dot carol at hotmail dot com. Will look forward to hearing from you! Given FB a very wide berth, plus don't have time for it. Phone crashed and had to do factory setting. God love a duck, lost all my pics including the one's from Camden Town last month. Well hope to hear from you soon, if you get the time, and I will look forward to it!

Hi Doddy
I certainly do remember you!
I was beginning to think I dreamed the whole period of my service life as I have never , until now, found anyone that I knew at Camberley or anywhere else I was however briefly!
I remember we went sailing for a week with others from Camberley I remember Diane? and that it was a good week I enjoyed it a lot. Photos' to prove it somewhere
God how the years have gone by
If you do come across anyone else from Camberley during that period do ask them to get in touch
Great to hear from you

I was very pleased to see someone I served with on this site, even if it was 2 years ago. I joined in July 1973 and well remember Lesley and Anna.

Message for Gilian Ede (nee pugh), Hi as soon as I saw your name I remembered you from Camberley as the hairdresser. I was there 1975 to 1977 when I went to NI. You probably won't recall me, I was known as Doddy Faulkner.

I joined the WRAC and was training in Guildford (October 1973,) from there I moved onto Deepcut and then on to CAD Kineton for a few months before moving to WRAC College in Camberley Surry from 1974 onwards until 1977 very happily

If anyone was with me in Camberley ( I was the hairdresser there - yes really!) and would like to get in touch please do , it would be fantastic to hear from anyone who was there during that period.
