Cobseo, the Confederation of Service Charities, provides a single point of contact for interaction with Government, including local government and the Devolved Administrations; with the Royal Household; with the Private Sector; and, with other members of the Armed Forces community. The Executive Committee comprises 17 Cobseo member organisations who are represented by their Chief Executive.
The WRACA Association is proud to announce that we have been elected to join the Executive Committee following a vote of our peers, and will take our place at the board table where issues and concerns that affect the Armed Forces Community are identified and a collaborative and coherent direction to deliver solutions is agreed.
This election is the result of the work carried out over recent years to strengthen the direction and voice of the WRAC Association. Our trustees have worked tirelessly to ensure that the needs of female veterans remain prioritised and included in the provision of veteran services. Our VP Fiona Gardner and Life VP Ali Brown sit on the Executive Board of Cobseo’s Female Veterans Cluster Group, and this latest appointment will build on this work and ensure that female veterans are represented at the highest level.
We are delighted to have been elected, and look forward to working closely with the Armed Forces community in the years to come.
